The Academic and Research Center [AARC] is an independent research institution sponsored by the ARAB WORLD INFORMATION NETWORK s.a.l. [AWIN NETWORK s.a.l].

AARC was founded in 1988 with the purpose of providing educational training and consulting services to the education sectors in Syria and Lebanon

In early 2000, AWIN NETWORK entered into a collaboration agreement with Matn University [Matn U], a fully licensed University. AARC provides "action learning" degree programs, to the Lebanese and international business and professional community.

The agreement provides for AARC to offer a range of professional degree programs at undergraduate and graduate levels from The Division of Continuing Education of [Matn U].

The professional degree programs are administered from AARC offices in Beirut and Abu Dhabi at the initial stage. Degrees and diplomas are granted by [Matn U]. Students enrolled in AARC programs can attend classes at [Matn U] campus in Beirut - Lebanon
